WAHHI member Sofia Maley is a certified personal trainer who is ready, willing and able to help improve your fitness and wellness! She is National Academy of Sports Medicine certified Personal Trainer, Senior Fitness specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Fitness Nutrition specialist. She operates from Breakthrough Fitness (located 130 Arrow Road, HHI) and is by appointment.
Everyday Sofia is committed to educate her clients on the importance of exercise and help understand that a healthy lifestyle is a balance between a well-rounded diet and exercise. It’s not all about the physical appearance when it comes to exercise, it’s about the benefits to your heart and health as well as keeping your muscles and bones strong in order to stay independent as we age. Several physiological and anatomical changes occur within the human body as we age. Physical activity performance diminishes, such as in exercise, and general daily activities, and increases the risk for injury. While many physical changes are inevitable, habitual participation and a commitment to physical activity, good nutrition, and other healthy choices can prevent and reduce the effect of changes or injury and may manipulate the expression of genetic code as well as counteract a majority of the chronic health conditions leading to mortality in older adults.
For WAHHI members, for one-on-one personal training, Sofia is charging: $65 for one hour; $50 for 45 minutes; and $40 for 30 minutes. For small group training (two or more people), Sofia charges $45 for 60 minutes; $35 for 40 minutes; and $30 for 30 minutes. Please note, you do not need to be a member of Breakthrough Fitness to benefit from Sofia’s training. Schedule your appointment with Sofia via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
