2020 – 2021 Membership Application

Membership runs from June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021.

WAHHI membership is OPEN to ALL women residing on Hilton Head Island, on Daufuskie Island, in the Town of Bluffton. Our membership area includes those communities that lie south and east of the intersection of Hwy 170 and Hwy 278, with direct access to Hwy 278 or access via feeder roads that lie within the boundaries of the Okatie and May Rivers. This includes snowbirds and part time residents as long as you have a residence mailing address in our boundaries.

There are three levels of membership in WAHHI:.

  • Regular Member which is available to New and Renewing members at a cost of $35.
  • Diamond Anniversary Member which is also available to New and Renewing members at a cost of $60. This membership level includes a $25 donation to the WAHHI Charitable Fund which will be used to fund 2021 community grants and gift. Your name will be included as a Fund Supporter in our list and recognition throughout the year. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to those non-profits we all love and support in the Lowcountry.
  • Past President which is available to anyone who has served as WAHHI President.

Join us Monday at 10am for a virtual event featuring speaker Myra Goldschmidt, Professor, Author and WAHHI member. Myra will share her personal, inspirational story about meeting Martin Luther King and the impact which he had on her life direction.'s favorite MLK quote is: “I’ve been to the mountain top.” She has always been passionate about the arts, specifically dancing and playing the violin, and also passionate about enabling students to accomplish their dreams.Myra is an Associate Professor of Linguistics and English at Penn State University, Brandywine Campus. She received her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in Educational Linguistics and her Master’s degree from Penn in TESOL. She co-authored the book Teaching Developmental Immigrant Students in Undergraduate Programs: A Practical Guide, published by University of Michigan Press (2011).
