Thursday, January 30: Chef Lynn Michelle is an accomplished, innovative personal chef, caterer and culinary instructor who creates memorable dining experiences. Chef Michelle trained at the culinary school at Johnson & Wales University and has lived in ten states and Europe. Her background includes working as a private chef in Belgium, as Executive Chef to two B & Bs in Beaufort County and cooking in many Lowcountry restaurants. Chef Michelle’s global experiences helped nurture her love of cooking and gave her a wide range of culinary skills. Chef Lynn Michelle is the 2019 winner of the Readers Choice Award, Hilton Head Monthly, for Best Caterer in Bluffton! Held at Billy Wood Appliance’s state-of-the-art Bluffton showroom, the setting will be perfect to enjoy learning new skills, techniques, and insights from one of the most popular Lowcountry Chefs! Thursday, February 27: Chef Jose Castillo from the delicious French Charlie’s L’Etoile Verte Restaurant in Hilton Head is our third featured chef. Known as a “food genius” and an “extremely passionate chef who loves what he does” from customer reviews, Chef Castillo hails from Puerto Rico but has been in the Lowcountry on Charlie’s team for the past year creating and serving amazing French cuisine. Chef Castillo will treat us to a demonstration and magnificent hors d’oeuvres for a fun, delicious evening The program runs from 5:30pm to 7:30 pm at a beachfront location and tickets are $45. Monday, March 23 (Please note, this is a DATE CHANGE from February 18): “The Gullah Diva,” Chef Sallie Ann Robinson is a sixth-generation native of Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. Chef Robinson is known for her culinary expertise coupled with her ongoing efforts to preserve the legacy of the Gullah culture. Chef Robinson has published three cookbooks and has been featured in many magazine articles and television shows. In October, 2010, Chef Robinson was invited by Smithsonian National Museum of African Arts to lecture on Gullah heritage and provide a cooking demonstration. Her latest cookbook, Sallie Ann Robinson’s Kitchen: Food and Family Lore from the Lowcountry was published in 2019. Chef Robinson will be preparing a luncheon demo and tasting. Returning to Billy Woods state-of-the-art Bluffton showroom kitchen, the program runs from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm and tickets are $45. Click here to register.
